THE BOATHOUSE

Until 2002, this historic structure served as operational center for Far Flung Adventures, legendary local outfitter who since 1976 has operated guided trips in not only Big Bend, but also on rivers in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and Mexico.

A spacious bar and dining area inside can accommodate up to 50 persons, and the patio and dance floor, with the scenic view of the Chisos Mountains and Big Bend National Park, another 100 or more.

Now under Starlight management, the Boathouse is open seven days a week from 4 pm to midnight, 1 am on Saturdays.

Beer and wine are available at the bar, as well as pizzas and homemade chili. Beer can also be purchased to go.
